ChatMDR 2.2 Released

ChatMDR 2.2 with history

Client version 2.2.0

As the use of ChatMDR becomes more and more of a common practice for regulatory professionals, auditors, engineers, marketers and executives in medical device companies, we added a few long-awaited features to help boost productivity. Head over to app.chatmdr.eu and use the new version now.

What’s new

The 2.2.0 release builds on the success of ChatMDR 2 with the powerful GPT 4 Turbo model. We’ve seen our users not only ask questions, but have whole dialogues about a certain aspect of the regulation and work towards a desired outcome. Using the new Sharing feature (see below), here is an example of a simple conversation about software as a medical device.

History

“Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

George Santayana (philosopher)

Well said, George, but even if you want to recall yesterday’s ChatMDR output, the addition of a history list is a huge time saver.

From version 2.0 that launched in February, ChatMDR has been diligently storing your chat history. The entire length of the conversations that you had with the chatbot were saved. Don’t worry though – they are only available to your account.

You can now recall any conversation and even continue it! New responses will be added to the bottom of the chat, which you can recall later, and so on.

Want to clear your conversation? “What was I thinking last week?” No problem, there is a button for that, too.

Sharing is caring

The introduction of the Copy feature in ChatMDR 2.1.0 made it easier to save the responses of the chatbot and use it in your emails or documents.

But actually sending the output to friends, customers or co-workers still required that email or lobbing it all into a WhatsApp message. Sharing on social media like LinkedIn was also not as easy as it could have been.

All that just changed. Using the new share icon

you can obtain a link that you can email, text or post on social media.

The share feature is available exclusively to ChatMDR Plus and ChatMDR Unlimited customers. However, the shared link can be viewed by anyone, even if they’re not ChatMDR users (yet).

Printing

An extension of the Sharing feature is Printing. In fact, since our ChatMDR developers are very lazy…er…efficient, the Share and Print functions are actually versions of the same screen.

You can print to paper, of course, but please think twice before you do so. Think about our planet! 🌎

Our favourite thing to do is actually printing to PDF. We’re Mac people here at ChatMDR and it’s a standard option to print to PDF instead of to a physical printer. But Windows 10 and 11 also have a Print to PDF extension, or you can use Adobe Acrobat.

Here is an example of a PDF printed from ChatMDR.

Support

“Help! I need somebody”

The Beatles (1965)

New technology is not without its gremlins. Unfortunately, some ChatMDR customers have also experiences some problems.

Sometimes, it’s a bug. We had a pretty serious one recently, that was fixed the same day. Sometimes, it’s a performance issue or something with one of our suppliers Amazon or OpenAI, the makers of ChatGPT.

Either way, there is now a Support button on the ChatMDR page that allows you to submit a problem to the ChatMDR engineers. This is not a live chat service (yet), but the request will be placed in the queue and the technicians will get back to you as quickly as possible.

The Support feature is available to all ChatMDR customers. ChatMDR Plus and ChatMDR Unlimited customers get priority access!
