ChatMDR December 2023 release

ChatMDR December 2023 release

Client version 1.1.1

On December 15, 2023, we released a new version of ChatMDR. This release was the first since our launch and it incorporated some of the early adopter feedback. The new release is live now for all ChatMDR subscribers!

What’s new

The December 2023 release has a number of new features:

Sources

The Sources feature shows where ChatMDR found its information. Both sections of the MDR and other documents from the training data set, like MDCG documents, are supported.

Under each answer, a small link is displayed. When clicked, it opens a list of sources. These sources themselves are also clickable. ChatMDR will then tell you what this article, annex or document is.

Lookup

A common question users asked ChatMDR was ‘what’s in Article 23?’ or ‘what is MDCG 2019-1 about?’

Because of the way a large language model works, the answers to these questions weren’t very good. Wrong, sometimes, or ChatMDR simply said “I don’t know”. You can read about why this happened in this Medium article.

Now, the AI recognizes when the user’s question is about an article, annex or MDCG document. When you click on one of the sources, as mentioned above, this feature is launched.

Use this by typing “What is …?” and then ask for an article or annex in MDR, an MDCG document or an ISO / IEC standard like ISO 10993.

Bug fixes and data updates

Many of our customers are true MDR nerds. And we say that with the greatest respect. Welcome!

Our customers noticed that the training data was incomplete or outdated in places, especially when it came to MDCG guidance documents. This entire section of the ChatMDR model has been retrained with new parameters.

Also, a myriad of smaller bugs that you (hopefully) never even noticed have been squashed.

Enjoy your new ChatMDR!
